Dan Ryan

Chief Executive Officer

Dan drives RedBrick's overall strategy and growth. Before joining RedBrick in 2011, Dan was president and CEO at Secure Computing, a $250M leader in enterprise security solutions, prior to it being acquired by McAfee where he served as EVP and General Manager of their $500M Network Security Business Unit. Prior to Secure Computing, Dan served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Stellent, a leading enterprise content management software company that grew revenues from $2M to $130M during his tenure before being acquired by Oracle, where he became Senior Vice President of Enterprise Content Management Products. Dan joined Stellent from Foglight Software, an innovator in e-commerce and application performance management where he headed marketing, product management, and business development. At Foglight, the company grew from a startup to a market player realizing customer adoption by many leading e-commerce companies prior to its acquisition by Quest Software.

Dan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in math and economics from the University of Minnesota. Dan is an avid runner, and enjoys many outdoor activities including tennis, golf, kayaking, fishing and boating. He spends most of his spare time with his wife and four kids coaching and watching them in baseball, hockey and gymnastics.

Gregg Waldon

Chief Financial Officer

Gregg is responsible for RedBrick’s financial strategy and organizational growth. Gregg joined RedBrick in January 2010 from SoftBrands where he was SVP and Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Stellent, helping grow software revenue from $2 million to $130 million. In this role he led the company in its due diligence and integration of ten acquisitions as well as in its first public stock offering and follow-on offering raising over $260 million. Gregg also has been Chief Financial Officer for GalaGen as well as a public accountant at Deloitte & Touche and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Gregg earned his B.S. in Accounting from Bemidji State University and a M.S. in Finance from Colorado State University. In his spare time, he spends time on Lake Mille Lacs, hunting and traveling.

Jeff Dobro

Chief Medical Officer

Jeff oversees RedBrick’s clinical strategy. Jeff joined RedBrick in 2011 with over 20 years of thought leadership in integrated health management solutions including comprehensive care management, condition management, wellness programs and provider based health services for employers, managed care and provider based companies. Most recently, he was Senior Consultant and Eastern Region practice leader in Towers Watson’s Health Management practice. Prior to that, Jeff spent five years as a financial analyst on Wall Street covering the health care industry. He has also served as Principal at Creative Medical Management, Chief Medical Officer at Telesis Medical Management and Regional Chief Medical Officer at New York Life.

Jeff earned his M.D. from The Medical College of Pennsylvania where he received the Merck Award for Academic Excellence and finished his specialty training at New York University where he continues to teach as a board certified rheumatologist. He spends much of his spare time outdoors skiing, biking, kayaking and hiking and enjoying live music and theater with his wife, two daughters and extended family.

Eric Zimmerman

Chief Marketing Officer

Eric leads market strategy and business development, and co-created RedBrick’s content and behavior design lab. Eric joined RedBrick in late 2009, bringing two decades of experience creating and commercializing innovative technology solutions that empower consumers to take a more active role in their health. Prior to joining RedBrick, Eric served as Chief Innovation Officer and GM at Mirixa, a pioneer in connected care at the point of pharmacy, and SVP of Marketing at RelayHealth, a leader in patient-physician e-connectivity. Eric has previously held leadership positions at StayWell, Medscape, and Johnson & Johnson where he helped build one of the nation’s earliest and most successful comprehensive corporate health management companies.

Eric earned a Masters degree in Public Health from UCLA with an emphasis in behavioral science, and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. When he’s not visualizing a better health system, Eric enjoys mountain biking, running, travel, cooking (and eating) with his wife and two children.

Kurt Cegielski

Co-Founder and Senior Vice President, Employer Solutions

As Co-Founder and Senior Vice President, Employer Solutions, Kurt oversees all aspects of direct-to-employer business at RedBrick. He has direct responsibility for employer sales, sales support and works closely with client management and health strategy, which helps to articulate and measure against clients’ financial and health program goals and aids clients in setting and adapting their strategies to meet goals for employee health.

Before co-founding RedBrick Health in 2006, Kurt led the customer reporting and analytics group for Definity Health, which was responsible for researching, understanding and communicating overall plan performance to clients. During his tenure at Definity, Kurt also oversaw plan design pricing, financial modeling and performance guarantees as the Director of Underwriting. Prior to joining Definity, he was a Senior Underwriting Consultant with the Principal Financial Group.

Kurt has a B.S.B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Economics from Drake University and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa. He spends many of his free moments with his wife and three kids, and enjoys time outdoors.

Gal Bar-or

Chief Technology Officer

Gal drives RedBrick’s software technology strategy and architecture. Gal came to RedBrick in 2011 with over 28 years of proven success in entrepreneurship and software development. Past ventures include successful startups Foglight Software, which was acquired by Quest Software and Capital Technologies, and RIS, a company founded by Lee Felsenstein, personal computer inventor and creator of the first generation of wearable computing devices. In addition, Gal co-founded Connected Minds, SchoolAxis and Useful Chemistry, all in the social and mobile space. Early on, Gal cut his teeth on Wall Street at Salomon Brothers, First Boston Capital and Goldman Sachs & Co., where he worked with Nobel Prize winner Fischer Black in the quantitative strategies group.

Sara Ratner

Senior Vice President, Operations

Sara oversees clinical operations at RedBrick Health, which includes telephonic coaching, guide services and biometric screening services. Sara joined in 2013 having held various health care executive leadership roles. Prior to RedBrick, Sara served as President of NeoPath Health, a worksite health clinic provider. Prior to NeoPath, Sara was the Chief Compliance Officer and the Executive Sponsor for Medicaid at Prime Therapeutics and was a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Sara also had leadership team roles at CVS-Caremark/MinuteClinic and Fiserv Health.

She has published health care articles in trade journals and recently authored a chapter in “Risk Management for Health Care Organizations.” She was named in 2009 by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business a “Woman to Watch,” in in 2012 was named by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal a “Top 40 under 40,” and in 2015 was named by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal to the “Real Power 50″ list.

Sara received her B.A., cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis and her J.D., magna cum laude, from St. Louis University. Sara is a competitive triathlete, and enjoys new adventures and spending time with her family and daughter.

Nicole Manderscheid

Vice President, Human Resources

Nicole is responsible for leading the talent acquisition efforts and devising strategies to develop and retain top talent for RedBrick. In addition, Nicole champions RedBrick’s award-winning culture, providing a superior experience for all RedBrick employees. Nicole came to RedBrick in 2011 with more than 15 years of experience planning, developing, organizing and implementing HR solutions that best support a flow of talent that is capable of meeting RedBrick’s business needs. Prior to RedBrick she led HR functions at ABILITY Network, Stellent and The TesseracT Group.

Nicole earned her B.S. in Mass Communications at St. Cloud State University, has a M.A. in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and is SPHR designated. In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, exercising and cheering her kids on in their athletic endeavors.

Mike Zeman

Senior Vice President, Client Solutions

As Senior Vice President, Client Solutions, Mike oversees RedBrick’s client management teams. Included in this group are resources that direct our strategic recommendations around consumer engagement, client and consumer communications and campaigns, and programs.

Prior to RedBrick Health, Mike was responsible for consumer engagement strategy and solutions at OptumHealth and subsequently Optum. His career has been primarily focused on consumer marketing and consumer relationship marketing as both a consultant and executive management of service companies and company portfolios dedicated to consumer behavior change across several verticals and channels.

Mike has a B.S. in Business Marketing from Ferris State University.

Daniel Moloney

Senior Vice President, Product Development

As Senior Vice President of Product Development, Daniel leads multiple teams working on product, content strategy and data. He is responsible for the delivery of innovative products that meet or exceed market requirements and drive consumer behavior change toward healthier outcomes. Daniel joined RedBrick in 2013, leading the launch of the data science team, focused on driving evidence-based research on the efficacy of RedBrick programs and creating a reporting and analytics data warehouse.

Prior to RedBrick, he has held numerous leadership positions in both public and private sectors, including the University of Minnesota and Control Data Corporation. In 1999, he co-founded SwiftKnowledge—a business intelligence software company focused on intuitive delivery of dynamic, actionable information. He delivered solutions across multiple business verticals, leading to a successful sale of the company in 2012.

Daniel received a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota with a concentration in behavior genetics, statistics, and individual differences. He has a track record of research contributions in both psychology and in data analytic systems.
