Richard Boylan
Chief Operating Officer

Richard Boylan has spent more than 15 years in technology leadership roles. He joined Virgin Pulse as a member of the founding leadership team in 2004. As Virgin Pulse's Chief Operating Officer, Richard oversees all product and technical development, build, implementation, and operations for all Virgin Pulse's products.

Richard's been with the Virgin Group for more than a decade, and he's worked on a number of Web-centric, technology-focused start-ups for various Virgin businesses. He led IT and Operations for Virgin Cars and Bikes, a UK-based car, truck, and bike retailer, which quickly became the largest online vehicle retailer in Europe. He also developed an operational and technical strategy for a Virgin-branded, pan-European car rental business, and planned and implemented a group-wide telecom and data strategy. Before joining the Virgin Group, Richard served as European Infrastructure and Database Manager for RL Polk.

Richard has an honors degree in business studies and information management from Liverpool University in the UK.

Todd oversees RedBrick's financial strategy and operations. Prior to joining RedBrick, Todd was chief financial officer at Healthland Inc., a leader in delivering health information technology solutions to rural communities, where he led the development of the finance organization. Prior to Healthland, he served as chief financial officer at MicroEdge LLC, which specializes in scalable platforms for philanthropic organizations. He has also held financial leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group, Thomson Reuters and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Todd earned his master of business administration from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and a bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. In his free time, Todd enjoys travel, running and spending time with his wife and three kids.

Prior to joining Virgin Pulse, Davis served as CEO and President of FlexTecs (Flexible Technology Solutions), a global provider of innovative technologies and services to help large businesses mine transactional data to reveal profit-driving insights and prevent margin leakage. Prior to FlexTecs, Davis spent 7 years in Management Consulting, focused on customer experience, supply chain, and operational execution. Before consulting, Davis spent more than a decade with Profit Recovery Group (now PRGX Global), most recently as SVP of Sales and Client Development. During Davis\’ tenure, the PRGX business grew by more than 10x, executed a successful IPO, acquired and integrated more than 20 businesses, and achieved a majority market share.

As a seasoned “road warrior” for most of his career, physical activity, mindfulness, and nutrition strike a personal chord for Davis. He is a passionate believer that how we engage with those around us, what we eat, how we move, when we sleep, and how we relax has a positive effect on our work, our health, and our relationships.

Ron Hildebrandt brings over 13 years' experience building and marketing SaaS software products that improve employee productivity and well-being. Ron joined Virgin Pulse in 2013. As Chief Product Officer, Ron is responsible for the product strategy and delivery of Virgin Pulse's enterprise wellbeing solutions, including its SaaS portal, mobile apps, and personal tracking devices.

Ron came to Virgin Pulse from Enkata, a successful, venture-backed Bay Area analytics and performance management company that he co-founded in 2001. There, Ron served as EVP and oversaw all product and customer-facing functions and led Enkata's rapid growth. Ron has extensive experience bringing innovative products to market and ensuring that they solve mission-critical problems. Ron is passionate about increasing the competitiveness of companies by improving the brainpower and the health of their employees.

Rajiv Kumar serves as Chief Medical Officer and President of Virgin Pulse Institute, which provides Virgin Pulse clients with cutting-edge Value-on-Investment (VOI) studies and promotes research on health, wellbeing and employee engagement. Dr. Rajiv Kumar's responsibilities also include overseeing the Virgin Pulse Science Advisory Board and the organization's analytics team.

Dr. Kumar joined Virgin Pulse in 2016, following the company's acquisition of ShapeUp, an employee wellbeing company that he founded in 2006. As CEO of ShapeUp, he led the growth of the company from a two-person, dorm-room startup to a global company with over 100 employees, 800 customers, and 2 million participants around the world. During his time at ShapeUp, he pioneered new approaches to leveraging social connections to enhance employee health and wellbeing and co-authored several peer-reviewed studies on the relationship between social networks and healthy behavior.

Dr. Kumar earned his medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and has focused his career on prevention, public health, and innovation in health care. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Brown University.

General Counsel

As general counsel and corporate secretary, Kim oversees all legal matters at RedBrick Health, including board governance, corporate and commercial transactions, intellectual property, technology licensing and employment law. In addition, she chairs the governance, risk management and compliance committee. Kim is also the executive leader for RedBrick's consumer support operations. Before joining RedBrick, Kim spent eight years with Capella Education Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, most recently as assistant general counsel and senior director of regulatory affairs. Prior to Capella, Kim was a partner at Graham & Dunn, a law firm in Seattle, Washington.

Kim earned a bachelor of business administration in finance with an accounting emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She received her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Kim lives in Minneapolis with her husband and three children, and her personal interests include travel, reading, running, spending time in nature and food-both cooking and consuming!

As founder and senior vice president of the client success team, Kurt is responsible for insuring RedBrick becomes essential to our clients' long-term strategy and success. As the leader of client success, he brings together all of the client-facing delivery functions under one cohesive team that includes account management, health strategy, professional services/implementation, marketing communications/engagement consulting and consumer support. A key responsibility is to help articulate and measure clients' financial and health engagement goals, and to consult with clients in setting and adapting their strategies to meet goals for employee health and broader organizational success.

During his tenue at RedBrick Health, Kurt has led health strategy, and employer sales and sales operations in addition to client services. Before co-founding RedBrick Health in 2006, Kurt led the customer reporting and analytics group for Definity Health, which was responsible for researching, understanding and communicating overall plan performance to clients. During his tenure at Definity, Kurt also oversaw plan design pricing, financial modeling and performance guarantees as the director of underwriting. Prior to joining Definity, he was a senior underwriting consultant with the Principal Financial Group.

Kurt earned a bachelor of science in business administration finance with a concentration in economics from Drake University, and an master of business administration from the University of Iowa.

He enjoys time outdoors and spends many of his free moments with his wife and three kids.

As senior vice president of clinical services, Elizabeth leads the development, training and management of the content and quality improvement efforts for RedBrick clinical services. She has responsibility for RedBrick coaches and guides who provide Next-Steps Consult® and high-risk care coordination. She oversees clinical engagement specialists, telephone coaching and on-site services.

Elizabeth joined RedBrick in 2011 from Target Corporation, where she worked to create and manage their retail clinics, and was part of Target's new wellness steering committee. Prior to Target, Elizabeth worked for prominent healthcare companies such as Medtronic and Mayo Clinic Health Systems, as well as small start-ups, serving in a consulting role to develop and improve new and enhanced healthcare service and products.

Elizabetth is a registered nurse and certified health coach. She has a master of arts in holistic health studies from St. Catherine University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. When not in the office, Elizabeth enjoys traveling, hiking, sports and spending time with her family.

Ryan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas, and is completing a Certificate of Data Analytics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In his free time, Ryan enjoys travel, hiking and spending time with his family.

Sara leads enterprise information technology and third-party software application management, and oversees information security and compliance. Prior to joining RedBrick in 2013, Sara held various healthcare executive leadership roles. Sara served as president of NeoPath Health, a provider of on-site health clinics. Earlier, Sara served as the chief compliance officer and the executive sponsor for Medicaid at Prime Therapeutics and was a member of the executive leadership team. In addition, she was the general counsel, vice president of strategic partnerships and human resources at CVS Caremark, where she joined the leadership team that grew the MinuteClinic division.

Sara has published healthcare articles in law and trade journals, and has been a contributing author to various advanced-degree textbooks. Throughout her career, Sara has received notable awards, such as the Business Journal's Top 25 Women to Watch and Top 40 Under 40; and was named by Twin Cities Business as part of The (Real) Power 50.

She earned a bachelor of arts, cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis, and her doctorate, magna cum laude, from St. Louis University School of Law. Sara competes in triathlons and enjoys new adventures and time spent with her family and daughter.

Mike is responsible for services and operations at RedBrick. He and his team work tirelessly to deliver the programs that help people be healthy through implementation, professional services and data operations. Mike joined RedBrick in 2013, successfully leading a team in implementing the latest version of RedBrick's platform into new and existing markets. He has 15 years of experience creating successful software products in diverse markets. His passion is developing new teams, products and organizations. Prior to joining RedBrick, Mike was a co-founder and chief technology officer of a small SaaS company focused on the semiconductor market.

Mike has a degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota. He also served in the United States Army. He enjoys skiing, biking, camping and running, often behind his two young bicycling sons.

Cynthia Henry
Vice President,
Corporate Marketing

In addition to leading RedBrick's corporate marketing, Cynthia also leads the company's business-to-business, consumer engagement and digital marketing teams and initiatives, and creative services for the company. She and her teams are responsible for brand stewardship, market positioning and messaging, thought leadership, and demand generation and retention initiatives for RedBrick's sales and client services teams.

Prior to joining RedBrick, Cynthia led brand and marketing initiatives for 3M and FedEx as vice president of account strategy at Hanley Wood Marketing. Prior to that, she led the internal marketing agency at Life Time Fitness. As director of creative services at Imaginet, she led digital marketing initiatives for multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Cynthia holds bachelor of art and bachelor of science degrees from the University of Minnesota and earned her master of business administration at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

Vice President,
Business Development

As vice president of business development, David is responsible for developing strategic distribution relationships to reach consumers and employers through benefit marketplaces, broker organizations, provider organizations, accountable care organizations and other channels.

David has deep industry knowledge and experience. He helped found Corporate Fitness Resources, which was sold to HealthFitness, where he stayed on as vice president of the western region. David served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at WellCall, now a part of Health Advocate. He also developed the strategic distribution business for WebMD health services and ran strategic accounts in the employer segment at Walgreens.

David graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a bachelor of arts in economics. When he's not in the office, David enjoys tennis, biking, music, travel and spending time with his two kids.

Prior to joining RedBrick, Cynthia led brand and marketing initiatives for 3M and FedEx as vice president of account strategy at Hanley Wood Marketing. Prior to that, she led the internal marketing agency at Life Time Fitness. As director of creative services at Imaginet, she led digital marketing initiatives for multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Cynthia holds bachelor of art and bachelor of science degrees from the University of Minnesota and earned her master of business administration at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
As vice president of business development, David is responsible for developing strategic distribution relationships to reach consumers and employers through benefit marketplaces, broker organizations, provider organizations, accountable care organizations and other channels.

David has deep industry knowledge and experience. He helped found Corporate Fitness Resources, which was sold to HealthFitness, where he stayed on as vice president of the western region. David served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at WellCall, now a part of Health Advocate. He also developed the strategic distribution business for WebMD health services and ran strategic accounts in the employer segment at Walgreens.

David graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a bachelor of arts in economics. When he's not in the office, David enjoys tennis, biking, music, travel and spending time with his two kids.

Nicole is responsible for leading the talent acquisition efforts and for devising strategies to develop and retain top talent for RedBrick. In addition, Nicole champions RedBrick's award-winning culture, providing a superior experience for all RedBrick employees. She came to RedBrick in 2011 with more than 15 years of experience planning, developing, organizing and implementing human resource solutions that best support a flow of talent that is capable of meeting RedBrick's business needs. Prior to RedBrick, Nicole led human resources functions at ABILITY Network, Stellent and the Tesseract Group.

Nicole earned her bachelor of science in mass communications at St. Cloud State University, has a master of arts degree in human resources and industrial relations from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and is SPHR-designated. In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, exercising and cheering her kids on in their athletic endeavors.

Before entering venture capital, he spent four years as the executive director of the John A. Hartford Foundation. He also was the chief executive of the Clark Foundation and the Burden Foundation. Bob is a former assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and an assistant to the head of the international division of the U.S. Treasury.

Bob graduated from Harvard College, and received his master of business administration from Harvard Business School. He has been a faculty member at the Harvard Business School since 2001. Barbara is a managing director of Versant Ventures where she specializes in health services and health information technology. In her career as an operating executive and venture capital investor, Barbara led and advised provider, payer and healthcare IT organizations throughout the US. Prior to co-founding Versant Ventures, she was a partner at CrossPoint Venture Partners.

Barbara was formerly a division president at PacifiCare Health Systems, and was senior vice president at PHCS, a national preferred provider organization. Her operating career includes management roles at the hospital information systems division of Hewlett Packard and the Harvard Community Health Plan, where she managed one of the first U.S. electronic medical records installations. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Tufts University and a master's degree in health policy and management from Harvard University.
