Last February, we wrote a blog piece about the diminishment of the digital divide – the former separation of the web enabled have and have-nots. One year later, the divide isn't just diminished – it's practically invisible. Consider the newly released web traffic study cited by Walker Sands: Nearly a quarter (23%) of web visits are generated by mobile devices (a one year increase of 84% and a 283% increase in less than two years.) The study concludes: "Mobile is no longer an option, but a necessity.
